ok i need some help here. i recently recieved some frags from a friend of mine. they grew like crazy and covered the entire rock they were glued onto. the small piece of rock he gaveme was set securely onto a large rock in hopes the zoos would spread onto it and eventualy cover it. that is not the way it worked though. instead they covered the small rock and then started growing onto each other. i then acted like i was in prison and made small rocks into smaller rocks and fraged again and tried to get the zoos to spread one more time. however i got the same result. what do i need to do to get these things to transfer onto a large rock where they can spread?
also what is the best thing i can add to the water to "feed" these things? i have been adding calcium, plankton, and a substance called coral life, a liquid similaer to kents ZooPlex Invertebrate Foods. what do the experts think?

I would use superglue GEL and stick the rubble too the bigger rocks were i wanted them and leave them be. They will spread out on the rock in time. and you answered you on question about feeding them

heres an easy way to get them to transfer next time.

take some underwater epoxy and go al around the edges of your smaller rock, and make a gradual ramp down to the larger rock. once the epoxy dries its like cement, and your Zoas wont know the difference. worked for me anyhow, when i was having the same problem.

Put the zoos on the lowest part of the rock that you want to grow, over time it will grow and spread upwards towards the light.

how long can the zoos stay ouyya the water before they die. if i build this ramp and wait for it to dry before i submerge could could be as long as 90 min. is that ok?

Do it underwater...epoxy hardens very quickly...in minutes.
