How do you get your background so dark? Especially for the fish shots. Are you using flash at all?

Yes it's a war coral and it does grow fast as hell lol

How do you get your background so dark? Especially for the fish shots. Are you using flash at all?

My background is black so that helps,no flash was used but I'm going to start experimenting with it cuz I've seen some great images using a flash. I adjust the black levels curve and increase the contrast to deepen blacks in Lightroom 4 on the Mac

In due time if I can stop the color yoyo. Up and down :bounce1::bounce1: and think the GFO is the cause as I over react at the sign of algae. I know you run basically the same equipment and water volume as me, how many cups of GFO and Carbon, and what is your changing schedule? Thanks as always

You've gotten really good Franky. I just picked up a dslr and it isn't easy to get pics this good. Awesome coloration on the shortcake, is there any lineage on that piece? Looks better than most I've seen.

Pretty cool Franky. Hopefully in 6 months we can do some top down shots. You need one of those coral box things that attaches to the lens.
