I have a sheet of half inch glass about 22" by 46". It is from a 120 plywood tank that my daughter borrowed and kept rats in until they chewed their way out the back. I sawed off the the front rim from the tank, so you still have to pop it out of the silicone seal, but it's free! I live near southpark Mall. PM me and come pick it up!

Hey Dan,
Is the glass very scratched up? I am thinking of doing a plywood and tank and that is close to the size I was thinking about for the front display glass. If I use 46" display glass that would leave about 7 to 10 inches on either side of glass to plywood edge. Not sure if I would like that........but free glass is hard to pass up.

I don't remember it being scratched up but it's been in storage for a couple years. John J has first dibs on it with his earlier PM. It was originally in a 120 gallon plywood tank, 24" x 24" x 48". If you are thinking of a 180, six feet long instead of four, I'd rather see a full length "window" installed if it were my tank. If you could modify the size or shape to fit the glass, it would make sense. also it always makes lots of sense to build a few extra plywood tanks. Once you do the preps and set up, it's almost as easy to build half a dozen tanks if you have the room as to build one. There is always someone willing to buy the extra tanks you built if you price them just to pay for the cost plus end up with one "free" tank out of building four or five. So if it costs me $600 to build six tanks, I'd sell five of them for $120 each. The problem is usually hanging on to that one tank you did want to keep.
