Hey,
I need to make room in my tanks and need to get rid of some of my corals. These corals are definitely not show corals, but they're very healthy.
I was just going to throw them in the garbage, but that's not what a responsible reefer would do. I would prefer they find a different home. Maybe you've been wanting to learn how to frag and didn't want to try on your own corals. Here's your opportunity as they're free and what do you have to lose.
Klaus @ Coral Reef has graciously offered to use his store as a meeting point. I would simply bring in a bucket with the corals and you would come pick them up using your own bucket. My bucket would stay @ Coral Reef as I would like it back.
Here's what I have:
(4) Superman Montipora frags - The polyps are brown, but the new skeleton is purple. Sizes range between half dollar and a small salad plate. Superman Monti's are very expensive normally. You would need higher lighting for these.
(6) Acropora frags - These too have browned out, but the polyps are out and they're still growing. There are different kinds and I can't tell the difference since they've browned out. You definitely need high output lighting as that's the reason they browned out in the first place.
(12) zoo frags - These are different colors, but not the hot colors like Tubbs. I'd say there are anywhere from 5-20 polyps on each frag. These will do well in just about all lighting.
These are free and I don't want to mess with taking pictures as I'm not making a cent off of them. If you want them, send me a PM. I'm thinking of taking them over this Saturday to Coral Reef if there is enough interest as most people have that day off including me.
Later,
Rob
