Free Corals Fort Wayne - Local Pickup Only

Hey,

I need to make room in my tanks and need to get rid of some of my corals. These corals are definitely not show corals, but they're very healthy.

I was just going to throw them in the garbage, but that's not what a responsible reefer would do. I would prefer they find a different home. Maybe you've been wanting to learn how to frag and didn't want to try on your own corals. Here's your opportunity as they're free and what do you have to lose.

Klaus @ Coral Reef has graciously offered to use his store as a meeting point. I would simply bring in a bucket with the corals and you would come pick them up using your own bucket. My bucket would stay @ Coral Reef as I would like it back.

Here's what I have:

(4) Superman Montipora frags - The polyps are brown, but the new skeleton is purple. Sizes range between half dollar and a small salad plate. Superman Monti's are very expensive normally. You would need higher lighting for these.

(6) Acropora frags - These too have browned out, but the polyps are out and they're still growing. There are different kinds and I can't tell the difference since they've browned out. You definitely need high output lighting as that's the reason they browned out in the first place.

(12) zoo frags - These are different colors, but not the hot colors like Tubbs. I'd say there are anywhere from 5-20 polyps on each frag. These will do well in just about all lighting.

These are free and I don't want to mess with taking pictures as I'm not making a cent off of them. If you want them, send me a PM. I'm thinking of taking them over this Saturday to Coral Reef if there is enough interest as most people have that day off including me.

Later,
Rob

Fireworm - (1) acro & (1) superman
Krdill - (1) superman & a few zoo frags
LornaS - will probably take the rest of the corals unless someone else would like some.

Rob,

Unfortunately I haven't set my tank back up yet, but it will be in the works within the next month or so. Is there any way you (or anyone else) would be willing to hold one of the superman montis for me? I'm guessing I'll be ready for it around November.

Miasma_F,

I wish I could you help out, but I need to make room now for other corals. If one of the other local reefers can help you out, that's great!

Rob,
Any way to meet up before Saturday? I have all day and night today . I have be to work by 7 tomorrow night

I would sure love a few small corals for my new tank. And meet fellow hobbyist to chat. Maybe we could all meet over there saturday. I know I am new but would love a couple things if at all possible.

Too bad I don't make it to the Fort much lately. I saw this last nite right after you posted, and was thinking if I coule make it out this weekend or not.
Great deal.

Okay, everything is now spoken for. That was quick! LOL!!

Please remember to bring your own bucket with you. I plan on getting to Coral Reef shortly after opening on Saturday. I will put the bucket at the front of the store, so come by sometime between 1-5 as that's when the store is open. I will put extra water in the bucket so everyone will have enough water to fill their buckets up with. I'm not going to mark anything as I'm assuming everyone knows the difference between each type of coral and will remember what they are getting.

Fireworm - (1) superman & (1) acro; meet up on Friday
LornaS - (1) superman, (2-3) acros, (appx. 4) zoos; meet up on Saturday
Gondore - (1) superman, (2-3) acros, (appx. 4) zoos; meet up on Saturday
Mojo46825 - (1) superman & (appx. 4) zoos; meet up on Saturday

Thanks to everyone for helping me out and thanks to Klaus for letting us use the store to meet up at!!

Rob, If I can I will pick up mojos today as well and then I can hook up with him since he is just down the street from me. Let me know.

That would be awesome. Thanks fireworm. Would love to see your tank anyhow. my cell is 241 3611 so maybe we can hook up tomorrow evening or sunday anytime. Thanks again.

Rob,
Thanks for the corals, they look great. I hope I can get the rue colors to pop back out on both of them.

I also wanted to thank Klaus for letting us meet at his store to pick up the items, and thanks for giving me a container to get them home in. Packing up both boys to take with me, I forgot all about brining a container. The bad thing was that it leaked all over my seat by the time I got home. Thats what I get for having a dumba$$ attack and not brining my own like I was supposed to.

Thanks to both of you again.
