DIY rock with a mixture of Portland cement, rock salt and crushed oyster shell. I was going to add this to my 150 but changed my mind. This rock CAN NOT be added to a system just yet. It has to be cured via long soak. It could take days maybe weeks. The initial Ph of this will probably be around 12. It has to soak till the Ph drops to acceptable range. Free to anyone who is willing to pick it up.

1 part Portland cement type II/III, 4 parts crushed oyster shell available at any feed store. Mix the 2 together with water until you get a cottage cheese type consistency. Add 3 parts of rock salt water softener available at Lowes or HD. Mix well and pour into some sort of a mold. Either damped sand or damp crushed oyster shell will work. Dont disturb the mold for at least 48 hrs. Let cure for an additional 48 hrs preferably under the sun. Soak in water till the Ph drops to around mid 8s. Could take a few days or it could take weeks. Change the water often.

Thanks Deuce , I got the OM 4 way today at about 6:45 PM EST . Boy you got to watch those FedEx Drivers . They Beeped their horn , and before I could get down stairs , they through the box over the fence , and drove off . They were only here about 5 seconds . The fence is only a 4' chain link , and all they had to do was lift the rod , and come in . I should report them , but I don't think it would do any good . Thanks again Ted
