I think the minimum recommended tank size is 70gal but I am looking for someone with a bigger tank than my 95gal because I think he needs more room. He is not aggressive toward fish at all. He is very sweet, and will eat right from your hand.

Hey! We have a 90 and are looking for an eel thats fish friendly, my kids are dying for one! If you dont have a taker let me know!

Snowflake eels are fish friendly. You will need a top of some kind on the tank. We lost our first one over the top.

Do you have glass tops on the tank it is in? Just wondering.

No, I can't have glass tops due to the lighting I have. He did get out once when I first got him but he never tried that again and that was almost a year ago. I try to post a pic.

I have a fresh water snowflake eel in my 72g bow front and he has plenty of room. He is pretty similar to the saltwater snowflake and he is probably about 18 inches long. I personally dont see a problem with that size tank for him.

I have one in a 55, and seems quite happy! They are escape artists thou, mine ended up in the sump twice. He went through the drain line...now I have a strainer on it ....
