FREE Maroon Clown

fyi -

We've had her for over 2 yrs and recently had to get rid of her anemone which outgrew the tank. We couldnt catch her until recently which was a stroke of luck. She has been stirring up the sand since her anemone was removed. If you have no sand or corak bed she would do great,

She gets along great with the other fish in the tank.
Bicolor dottyback (which will be the next to go if we can catch him...if anyone is interested in him let me know..free as well)
Chevron Tang
Purple tang
Foxface
Coral beauty (nipper..trying to catch him as well)

She will not get along w any other clowns.

fyi on clowns

Your fish is a female due to the large size. I am not sure how big males with mates get , but I am guessing yours is alone in the tank.

The best you could ever do with her is find a very small fish which has not changed sexes to mate with . Doing that would be highly unlikely to work with a maroon, but it is possible that she would accept him with a lot of work. Maroons are the most aggressive clowns.

If clowns are paired with a female there will be a smaller male and a female that grows larger and larger.

The male can even change his sex to a female if he is left alone in the tank and then he grows larger. Females on the other hand cannot change sexes once they become a female

I agree with the above...I have the same problem with my large ~5in. maroon. It's pretty aggressive and has beat many of my new fish into submission and killed some too.

I really need to find somone with an agressive tank to take my clown too as I only have that and a docile trigger in the tank right now.

He was picked up today.

Next problem is catching the bi color dotty back so we can get some shrimp.

Maroon never caused any problems w the other fish. Kicking up the sand was the problem.
