I have a pretty big pajama cardinal (aka spotted cardinal) availible for free! Only strings attached is that you may have to catch him yourself..... I have tried and he is too fast for me, but if im succesfull ill throw him in my fuge till someone picks him up. I'm trying to reduce my bio-load....

How big is he?....

I think he would be a great fit for my 65....but dont have the time to catch him....let me know what happens as I can pick him up any time....

I'll post a picture of him tonight when i get home, he is one of the most resilient lil buggers i have ever seen, never gets sick, eats well, likes to come out around the time i turn actinics on, patrols his little section at night looking for food, but comes out during the day alot too, he survived the original move 10 months ago when i bought the tank, im gonna try and sneak attack him tonight....... he is probably approaching max size now but may grow more. about an inch and a half to 2 inches i'd say

ryan make a fish trap for in the tank. saved me alot of headaches and stress toward the fish.

bawla47, do you have blueprints for a fish trap? will it just catch the fish or my cleaner shrimp, clownfish, and everything else in the tank?

Who cares what it catches... as long as the cardinal ends up in there eventually... you can always take the bycatch out.

i made mine exactly like this one

like 10$ in acrylic and an hour or 2 cutting and glueing.

instead of suction cups though, i used a large magnet that holds it through the glass.

mines about 7" long, enough to catch all the fish in the tank. i just need to feed a 1-2 days beforehand though the tubing, and they become extremely familiar with the trap. alot of them catch on real quick, and i see them swim into the trap to check if theres any food around when im not feeding.

not sure if you want to go through this much work, but i think its definately worth it. you will use it in the future for sure and will save many headaches

Ok im considering trying a lure and hook, seriously, but he is nocturnal, any suggestions on catching this guy with the hook method at night?
BTW im changing the livestock around some in my tank, and my green mandarin goby is also now availible. He is now ready for a new home waiting in my fuge. My pod pop collapsed and it looks like he started getting thinner so ill replace him. So if anyone who has a larger tank with lots of pods wants him he is now availible for pickup, if you have any softies to trade that would be cool but really looking for a new home for him now...
