Yep it's the whole "Pay It Forward" corals thing.
Free to anyone who want's to come and get it and share with others free when it gets big enough to.

I don't know the names so if you know feel free to post.

First up this coral was given to me and recently it popped off a head, wanting to start another life in another tank.
It's front and center just below the candy cane (Unmounted LPS)
You can see the mother colony to the far left.

Then we have this guy who I bought yesterday and while I was adding it to my tank I broke off a small frag. It's now mounted on a frag disc ready for pick up.
Here is a pic of the mother colony not the small frag. (Mounted, SPS)

First come first served.
I'm always a night owl so if you want to come grab it tonight, feel free, I'm able to have people over till 11:30

Trades are always welcome but not required.

Just remember pass a frag of it on when you can.

How about the Orange Diamond goby ? I am sure he is aching to hop into my tank :P

Let me know if the green guy frags again. That looked awesome in your tank !

I tired to send you a PM the other day about the goby.
John got like 5 in. I was just there yesterday.

The green guy????

I know i need to get over there but I want to get this Blue "devil spawned" Damsel out before I add another fish to the tank :(

Green frag bottom of first pic.

billr, talk to your local reef club and see if you can start one there.

John, the second and third pic (Same thing) is still availible.

You know I live for this stuff Steve ;)

First up is a Calaustrea sp., and actually both are "candy canes"

Second up is a Hydnophora sp. with a case of STN or was saved from RTN. Which also, argumentatively is considered an LPS ;)

Btw, is that the green digi you got from me? Great color regardless :)

Steve,

Can I pick it up on Saturday afternoon? I have a date with my wife tomorrow night, and I am moving the 100g into the house on Saturday morning.

Justin,

Thanks for the ID help.

John

Steve,

Awesome deal amigo, great to see locals helping locals diversify!

BTW
I still have a nice piece of the blue ridge fire coral, and a branching neon green hydnaphora for you. I also have the other yellow/green hydnaphora (looks just like the one in your pics, save not RTN) - but since you picked up a piece, you want I should exchange it for another piece of eye candy?

John, Sopunds good just let me know.

Hey mike sounds awesome I'll take whatever ya give me :)
If you want to swap it for another that fine too..

Hows that huge tank?

Dude is supposed to come tomorrow and pick it up... this is the 3rd time somebody has promised that, so I am not sure. $500 for a 180g system seemed a decent deal to me, but perhaps I am being partial. :)

I have some new Acanthastrea Lordhowensis' colonies that I recently picked up that you might like. Since you already have the lime hydnaphora, I figure you would like to have something different. I will see if I can get some of them to grow on a frag rock so I can break it off the colony.

Thanks Steve. The candy cane looks amazing, and the other unidentified frag piece you gave me looks really red under my lighting. I'll get you the codium asap.

Matt
