Just thought I'd share an email I got from Clams Direct if anyone is ever interested on doing a group clam buy.
We do group orders and when orders are over 10 clams, we provide FREE Shipping and container cost.
This is how to do it.
1. Have someone in your group willing to received the shipment and we recommend picking up at a FedEx facility in your area.
2. Log on to our online store and select the clam/s you want and in the details remark section, put what the name of our group/club is.
3. Pay for your clam by CC and if you elect to pay for them by Pay Pal indicate in the payment method, " Phone Order" and then pay for just the clams and then log on to your pay pal account and send to barry@clamsdirect.com If you are paying by CC, we will only charge your CC for the cost of the clams. So when you receive your order conformation, disregard what it says about the shipping and container cost as we will manually deduct that when we process your CC.
4. All bags will be marked with the clams ID # such as C-01.
5. Acclimate as soon as you can!!
6. Any loses must be reported to us with 24 hours after arrival. barry@clamsdirect.com or phone 619 593-0565
