Free: two pieces of live rock (with polyps and pests)

Tanque Verde

I'm tearing down a tank and I have two pieces of live rock left over. They are both slightly smaller than footballs. They both have numerous zoas and/or palys (nothing spectacular) but they both also have hydroids and a little bit of hair algae. Free to a good home. Pick up near Swan and Speedway.

Hey Scubabum,

Another local hobbyist inquired before you, but if that falls through, I'll get back in touch.

Also, I have one five gallon bucket mostly full of live rock (curing with heat and flow) that I'd sell for $3 per pound if you're interested.

Finally, in the sump of the tank I am tearing down, I found a nice long runner of fern-like macro wrapped around a piece of rubble. If you want it--it came from your tank originally--I want to get it back to you.

Let me know if your interested in the LR for sale or the macro; I'll get back to you about the free pieces.

Opinions vary on hydroids. Some reef keepers don't mind them. Mine flouresce (sp) just a little bit under the moonlights. But I've read that they sting corals and can be very difficult to remove.

No known predators. Not responsive in my experience to aiptasia killer. I've heard some folks glue over them but you better not try that (I kid, I kid).
