As usual Chris' xenia is doing great in my system. Healthy and happily attached to the rock I put it on (all but that one escapee which is doing fine as well).
Bring some to the swap and I will even buy it from ya. I had some nice pick xenia, but starfish ate it.
BTW - any live rock fish aquarium owners want a chocolate chip star? Ill prolly give him away at the swap. He does eat some corals! Had him for like 7 years though. He is a good friend, I even cut 2 of his legs off in a powerhead once. They are almost all the way back.
Ok, Ill bring him. mcox33 since you responded first he is yours if ya want him, I dunno about crab... what kind of crab? If you pass, jmccown , He is all yours.
I'll get some out for you guys and bring it to the meeting. No need for any payment. If you must give me something make it a frag of a mushroom or something. I really throw this stuff away and would feel guilty if I charged for it.
Thanks essop3, aka Chris I see. I brought a rock to the meeting and Ron kindly attached a huge Xenia fork to it for me. Very pretty in the tank. Started pulsing right-a-way. Wish me luck!
Still hoping xenia will make it, from the swap. During the day, polyps are out and even pumping sometimes. Here is the latest pic. The entire center part that was inside the wedding veil is dead. Both end pieces have separated themselves from main stalk, but looks like they are attaching to the rock on their own. We will see.
From my experiance that's about normal for that type of attaching. It will depend on your lighting on how much they extend but sounds like yours is doing fine.
