Free Xenia

When I started my tank, many people gave me beginner corals for free. Trying to return a favor I have 6-7 Xenia pieces - 100% free of charge.

I also would like to get some small (3-4 polyp) zoas if anyone has overgrown colonies.

My tank is in Sunnyvale but I travel to South San Jose every day.

I have regular pulsing one.

Tank is great. Small, but great ;-) It got a great jump start from you!
Your zoas grew 3x times. Plan to frag it soon.
I have some hammer coral, colt, plating montipora, yellow polyps, gsp, xenia 6-7 zoas, alien eye chalice, 2-3 types of mushrooms.

Peppermint shrimp ate all aptaisia, and 6line ate all pods ;-)

Sounds like it is going well. I finally got my tank set-up inside. Working on getting it stable. I'll make you another zoo frag for some Xenia. Mine melted.

No problem. It is nice to have some xenia in the refugium again. Hope you like the zoos, they are much nicer than the last ones I gave you.

Yeap, the green ones opened right away and very nice color.
The yelow ones are small ;-)))) But bright. hope they do ok.

No prob- glad you like it and hope it grows like my frogspawn does. I don't think my tank water is Xenia compatible as it's still shrivelled up. Probably due to my low (7.2) alk.

thanks for the xenia and mushroom. I placed it between a rock with low flow (what i thought was low flow), and hr later, i can't find it anywhere.
how do you guys put nonmounted corals in your tanks?

put unmounted xenia with a small rubble rock into some loose netting material. leave it for a day or two and xenia should move onto the rock. i'm sure they will be more happy attaching itself to the rock rather than the netting.

it will show up, xenias are known to just pop up on some rock and move towards strong lighting.

It's this time of the year. Free Xenia is back. It's taking over my tank.

Any frags, live rock, sand, equipment, salt creep leftovers, ziplock bags are acceepted as donations and "thank you"s ;-)

p.s. I'm still obsessed with zoas, so if you have a small frag - bring it on ;-)
