Fresh water crabs as food???

Can fresh water crabs be fed to mantis shrimp? I know your not supposed to feed fresh water fish to them, but i wasn't sure about the crabs. I can get little fresh water red claws cheap. So any help would be appreciated

once a month should be perfectly fine. Just don`t do it more than every 10 days or so i think. Just so long as the staple diet is a marine something.

they are about $2.00-$3.00 each, good price if ya ask me!
