Fresh Water Dip

Is it even worth the stress? To the fish that is.... My brown tang is getting a little bit of ich and I dont have a QT tank nor do I want to set one up. A little info would be nice THANKS, NATE

IMO - absolutely not worth the stress. That doesn't mean that you won't eventually need to treat the fish, only that FW dips aren't the answer.

I agree with that. My hippo tangs got way too stressed when I tried to give them a freshwater dip. A hospital tank wouldn't work for them either-became very pale, laid on sides, breathing heavily. Had to take them out within hours. Ich has come and gone several times on my fish. They're just prone to it.

FW dips can be worthwhile for some parasites, but not for ich.
