If doing the tank transfer method, would a freshwater dip be releaving/beneficial for the fish before each tank transfer?

Freshwater dips have no effect on Cryptocaryon, as the parasite is protected by the fish's epithelium.

Do one thing at a time. If you are diagnosing for flukes, a fresh water dip after tank transfer is completed is useful. If the fish is exhibiting symptoms of velvet or brook, you should not be doing tank transfer.
