FreshWater DIP for LPS corals??

After using Bayer. I sometimes rinse my sps in fresh water to remove the Bayer. Has not caused any damage and I think it helps shake off anything still hanging on to the coral

you do realize on the bottom of the bottle it says " Rainproof " so does that mean it Sticks to the coral, even if you dip it in FW. will it stay on?

Good to know! I am going to be experimenting with some zoas/palys so I will keep everyone updated!

From other threads that I have read, yes. It has actually made some peoples acros immune to red bugs going back on that piece for quite some time, including AEFW and other nuisance pests.

It has been working for a very large amount of people, I am not expecting any diverse effects to the treatment, at all.

Thats actually awesome to know.

Old thread here, but I will chime in. Someone said their Monti didn't seem to like it and I had the same experience. My Monti had some sort of tube worms growing on the frag base so I scraped it off and gave it a quick rinse in freshwater to wash the tube worms bits off. The Monti did not like it AT ALL. He bleached prettymuch right away and it took him about a week and a half to fully recovered. He pulled through though. I'm probably going to get some Bayer or RX dip from now on though.

I use Bayer all the time I like making a higher concentrate just because I used to have red bugs in my old tank..... never want to deal with that again or worse flat worms..... I know it won't kill eggs but I tend to break corals off the plugs before they are dipped and entering my system
