freshwater dip?

i have never done a freshwater dip before so need som feedback. looking for info like about how long do i leave the fish in for and is there anything i should do besides temo match? all tips and tricks appreciated

There's only one reason to FW dip and that is for flukes. Other than that it won't help anything imo, only stress out the fish. WWM always talks about it treating ick, but thats the biggest load of crap i've ever heard....terrible advice.

a while back , i remember a posting that had a link to another site , and the article said a proper fw dip should be no less than 5 minutes, thats if the fish allows it and does not "wig out". The only time i tried a fresh water dip i did not acomplish the purspose of it.
