I did not watch the entire video, but did you acclimate the Mollies to the saltwater? Usually it is recommended to do this over a period of days to weeks.Going right from fresh to saltwater is VERY stressful for the fish.
Personally, I am not a fan of mollies, even in my freshwater systems. The only time I kept them, it was in a dedicated saltwater system set up similar to a QT tank. I had 6 pairs in that tank and used the babies as live food for the reef. It was great and my tank LOVED the food source. I would consider doing it again if I had the space.
Yes I did acclimate the mollies to saltwater, I acclimated them for about a hour and a half. I mentioned it in the video . That’s a cool Qt idea !! What fish did you have that were eating the baby mollies ?
Almost everything in the tank was HAPPY to eat them. If the baby fit in their mouth, they were devoured. Most fish are opportunistic and will eat most foods. Even those corals and anemones lucky enough to snag a baby would devour them. They are pretty small, but with enough breeding pairs, you can have a fairly constant supply, at least for treats.

This was probably 15 years ago, when I was living in Idaho. I moved to Colorado and didn't take the tanks with me. I just never did this setup again, but now that you have reignited the thought, I may eventually set up another small tank for feeder mollies.
