Can anyone guide me in the best direction to purchasing freshwater shrimp?

What kind? Ghost shrimp, neo shrimp, cherry shrimp, crystal reds, bamboos, amanos?
Aquabid.com is a good site to try, and Ebay occasionally has batches of cheap feeder shrimp.

Yeah, aquabid was where I got my yellow neocaridina shrimp and it went really well. You can usually get just about any shrimp you need on aquabid.
