Snowman, I would go with www.aquahobby.com . They have excellent forums there. Also, www.badmanstropicalfish.com is probably the first place I will refer newbies to FW to (and I'm not just saying that because I was a mod at both of those forums...LOL... look around, they are some of the best). It's one of the best beginner's sites for new keepers of FW aquaria.

since we are talking about fresh water tanks
i just got a 400 gallon water pond incert and
was thinking of actually putting regualr freshies in it
instead of your normal pond fish
what do you think good or bad idea

tropical fish need to be ept in an aquarium, because its very hard to keep a constant temp in a out door pond! also that the rain will destroy the temp.
