Frick ick

Been so long since I have had MI I forgot about it. So my 220 springing a leak and forcing my hand to put all those tangs in the display backfired. Everyone has ick to different degrees. Also my naso tang now has it.
So a few options....
So I have used both copper-safe and hypo salinity in the past so here is how that goes....
1) Last night set up a 40 gal QT tank. 2 blubbers started. Going to have trouble with the cycle on this I know. Will likely sacrifice some live rock to try to avoid an ammonia spike.
2) Will use tank divider (egg crate) so I can put two tangs in. Will start with the naso and powder blue. Will drop sg to 1020. I will eventually drop it to 1015-1012. Not going all the way down, just trying to relieve the stress on the fish.
Trying to find API test kit
3)Will reseal the 220 and try to get it to hold water.
Will eventually move the fish in the 220 hopefully 2 at a tie. May need to set up another QT. Anyone have a 40?
4) Will leave the display fish-less for 30 days???? Any votes on that one???
5) Will put the clowns in the 120 with their roses for now with a divider, till I figure out what to do with them. Imagine I will need to treat clowns separately.

OR
Polyp lab medic
The exact ingredients are not clear but looks to be peroxide salts. Peroxide has been used in marine systems with good results. So not completely out there.

So I'm thinking of going ahead to try this as I try to get my sponge filters cycled by running them in a sump.

I will let you know...

Either way big sailfin needs a new home. He is just too big.....

72 days fallow for ich. 30 days will do nothing. of course if the tank is empty and your resealing it, cleaning with bleach will kill any ich before refilling it.

Oh no.
Not good news. If you need a hand with anything let me know. Ick sucks for sure, especially a tank full of Tangs.

Okay update:
So I have been using the polyp lab medic in the display. So far all the tangs look a bit better. The tomini (which was the worst) look significantly better. Of course this could be the natural cycling of the ick. Powder blue looks about the same to me. Scopus looks much better. So jury still out.
My Achillis tang in the other tank became covered so guess I would say that was velvet.
Put him in coppersafe, sg 1017,temp 82 with the sponge filters. He looks much better but looks like he went through a war ...so not sure he is gonna make it. Good news is that the sponge filters have kept the ammonia at un-measurable levels and it has been 2 days.
Update down the line. No one dead yet....

Update
Achilles who was not with the other fish looked very bad treated with coppersafe sg1018. Today looks much better eating very well. Now he looks like he will make it. Other fish look worse. So very likely going to treat them with copper now.
Sealed the 220 last night and filled it today. Holding water so far. Will pull all the other fish out and treat them in copper in the 220. At least Im thinking that. I'll make that decision in 24hrs.
