Fridmani severely bitten, please advise

Hi All,

Someone took a large chunk out of the back of my Fridmani Pseudochromis. He is in a 55g QT tank with a purple tang, yellow tang, and flamehawk (likely the culprit). The fish are currently in the process of coming out of a 6-week hyposalinity treatment.

What should I do for the little guy? I am concerned about secondary infections. Should he be isolated and treated with antibiotics? Do I need to worry about fungal infections? The bite area is white with red in some areas and is quite deep.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Separate it from the other fishes.

Feed it good food with vitamin, fat, and beta glucan supplements like you read here:

I would worry about a secondary bacterial infection. Obtain Maracyn Two for Saltwater fishes and use it at the recommended dose for twice the time (10 days).

Fungal infections in saltwater fishes are rare. Just maintain water quality and pH very closely.
