Frimandi Groups ?

Hey Guys,

So about 4 months ago I got a pair of wild Frimandi's for my tank. They took up home under a large rock, and only swim on the back side of the tank very close to their 'cave'. I have tried all kinds of food, but they don't want to swim on the front side of the tank - either out in the light or out in view.

So 2 weeks ago I picked up 2 more Frimandi - Not wild and not a pair.

The back wall of my tank is covered in slab rock. The new Frimandi have taken up homes in the rock on the back wall along the bottom edge of the tank.

So now the new ones can only be viewed if you stand of the side of the tank and look down the wall when feeding.

Anyone know if Frimandi have a tendency to school in groups...

I've had several Frimandi over the years and they would come out and swim in the open water - even if they had a favorite cave. But now with 4 they all want to be cave dwellers.

I may have to opportunity to pick up 6-10 more, and thought if they have schooling tendency this could be a great looking school in the tank.

Thanks for the insight.

I have kept pairs for years and would like to add a few more to my current tank. Despite not having more than a pair, I can tell you schooling will not happen. Fueding neighbors with some having "benefits" is the best you'll get, but the interaction should be endlesly amusing. I think once they all settle in you will see all of them in the water column.
