Frog Spawn Disease?

Over the last six months I have slowly lost pretty much all my corals but for the Frog Spawn, Duncan, and brain coral. And the Frog and Duncan or now slowly dying. I recently dipped the Duncan and the heads seems to have stopped dying, I also lowered it in the tank to a Par reading of around 90. I dipped the Frog Spawns but they seem to still dying head by head. Not having much other direction I treated the tank with interceptor + this past saturday. 1 large dog chew for ~300g. The strange thing is this white membrane that is forming over the heads, underneath is purified and smells real bad. I have attached a couple pictures.

Looking for information and thoughts.
Water is in good shape but for my inability to get both the Alk and CA to the correct levels. Alk is running about 130ppm and CA about 350. When i push it the CA just precipitates out of solution. Mag is at 1500ppm.

i attached a few pictures. I have done a lot of searching but have not found any similar pictures.

Thanks!

I have no idea what Frogspawn disease is and I've owned and still own them. The only thing that will treat a bacterial infection (which is what I suspect) is Iodine dip. Here is a link for the future if you see this again. The pictures of the one out of the water is toast. I can't tell much about the one in the tank because the lights are too blue. If you can take a picture without the actinics I would be able to tell more about it.

There is some really good information in the chemistry forum that would help you with your parameters. While they are off I don't think that is what killed your coral.

Hi 180-55reef, I dose BRS 2 part and lots of it. About a gallon a week to keep the alk at 130 and the CA won't go above 300. For a while I was just adding half gal a day but all it did was precipitate CA on everything ugh. I was thinking somehow i got a contaminant in the tank forcing the CA out of solution. I just added a Vortex CA reactor to see if that will help get the parameters up. I also run a Kalk reactor with makeup water that is a few gallon a day. I don't have that many corals anymore but a few big bunches of frog spawn that i grew from a frag when the tank was healthy. Triton test showed high NI and LI. Just took tank reading and Alk = 140ppm and CA was 290. I have stopped dosing as I adjust the CA reactor.

Sounds like you would be better off to get Instant Ocean Reef Crystals and stop dosing. What salt are you using?

Red Sea Pro - it has pretty high levels of Alk, Ca, and Mg. It actually precipitates when I add it to the tank. I have done (2) 120g water changes. The CA level seems to go up when I do a water change - whatever the contaminant is if there is one.

I have no problems with the Instant Ocean Reef Crystals and I would suggest that you get some and see if it doesn't fix your problems. I am thinking you have a bad batch of salt. You can buy the IORC on Ebay and Amazon 200gal box for $49 free shipping. I highly suggest you get some and try it.

No. They have not been so happy. They don't seem to be extending in the middle. I can't imagine everything has become more light sensitive but I might try reducing the light. You can see how they are dying. I have two others bigger than that. You can see why I'm quite unhappy about the decline :(

Yes, Measured it yesterday and alk was 165ppm/3.3meq/9.2dKH and Ca was 200 :(
I had not been dosing 2 part but i did yesterday to try and get the Ca up.

Ca might have been 300 - i still think there is a contaminant in the tank keeping the Ca from getting above 300. Time for another water change.
