i have a sargassum frogfish in a 40long and am looking to add a new fish. the tank is set up specifically for the frog, lots of rocks and macroalgaes,,,,,, was thinking about another type of frogfish. what do you guys suggest, anglers or others?

Nothing...not even other Anglers, unless you consider it food.

Frogs/Anglers really need a species only tank. Not only will they eat fish bigger than themselves, they're well known to be cannibals and will gladly eat other Frogs, if given half a chance.

he was in with a valentini, a hawk, and a damsel for w few weeks and did not bother them. now that he is in his own tank he is not being as aggressive of an eater. i may throw in a school of damsels and let him puck them off if he chooses. so none of you have your frogs with other fish?

No - they really do best in their own tank. With anglers and other fish up to about twice their own size, it is generally not a matter of IF they will attempt to eat the other fish.....it is just WHEN.

Things may go along great for months and then one day the angler is feeling hungry and wham!
