Frogfish?

Anyone with experience with these in a reef? What are the incompatibles with them? Specifically, are clams and peppermint shrimp toast if I get one?

They are compatible with anything that won't fit in their mouths from my experience. Mostly little inverts.

Clams and sessile inverts and corals will be safe, same goes for snails, sea stars, cucumbers,...
But fish and shrimp not, unless they are significantly larger than the frogfish.

Never kept one myself, but I've heard that many will even try to consume fish that are longer than them! If the fish isn't too girthy, it'll be lunch!

You can always consider leafish if you're interested in something similar. Their mouths are much smaller so they won't target your fish as much. Not so sure peppermints would be safe though.

I had an Angler eat a clown fish that was 50% its size. Look up videos for Anglers eating and see how big their prey can be.
