Frogspawn base question

I have 3 different sets of frogspawn all doing well. I have them in a 15gl bio with leds. Their canopy is nearly covering all the lit surface. I need to frag,I know. My question is the base of each group is eroding maybe 15-20% up. Great growth with new heads every where. I dont test water but change 2-3 gls weekly. Is this normal? Thanks Dan

If you're saying the fleshy collar around the skeleton below the polyps on a stalk is following the growth up the stalk, leaving just skeleton behind, that is normal. Pics could help to clarify.

To embed the pic in your post, simply click the little post card icon that says "insert image" when one hovers over it and paste the URL to your pic in the dialogue. The image will then appear in your post at whatever size was uploaded to your image hosting service. One can accomplish the same thing by preceding the image URL with left square bracket + "IMG" + right square bracket and following it with left square bracket + "/IMG" + right square bracket. One can also always "preview post" to make sure the image is appearing properly.

To me, it looks like the collar of flesh is following the growing polyp up the branch normally. If the polyp were truly unhappy it would be retracted.
