Frogspawn closes early?

I bought my first piece of real coral from my LFS about a week ago. I'm using the same kind of lights they were, but in my tank the coral is about a foot closer.

The first few days everything was as expected, but for the last few days the frogspawn has been wilting early, about an hour before the lights go out.

Is this normal? Or a sign of something wrong?

Are you running a day and night cycle on your lights? If so is this happening during the night cycle?

Yea, the lights are on a timer, so they always turn on and shut off at the same time every day. The frogspawn is wilting about an hour before the lights go out.

What kind of lighting? I assume you have actinics and some type of day bulbs 10k etc. What I'm trying to get at is that I have a frogspawn as well and I run my actinincs for two hours before the daylights come on and an hour before the daylights go off. Mine tends to begin closing up before all the lights go out so I'm wondering if you run yours the same.

I think maybe the frogspawn may just normally close an hour before lights out or after an 11 hour photo period.

In regards to your question, I don't have any lights other than the 150w 20k metal halide and the led's. No actinics on this fixture.

Oh ok. Well I'm not an expert but it seems these corals get on kind of a routine and tuck themselves into bed.

Mine usually stays open till the lights go off...I'm also running Actinics before and after my day lights.
