Frogspawn coral WAS doing great

I've had a branching frogspawn coral for about 5 weeks now. And at first it was doing fantastic. It was fully extended and everything. About 3 weeks ago I added another power head into my aquarium, on the complete other side of the aquarium, but its a beast of a power head. Anyways, as soon as I turned on the power head it curled up in seconds, and since then it has never gone back to its extended form. I've tried moving it around (and in the process I accidently lost a part of its branch base, at the very end of its branch (not where the polyp is, but where it had probably been previously cut). At any rate, I put it in a place where it gets moderate flow, and equal lighting to what it had in its original placement.

Any idea on what I can do to make my frogspawn come alive again?

take out the powerhead and if it opens, its probably the powerhead. Could be stray electricity. Give it time to adjust too. Not just 10 mins. Give it a day. :)

The same thing happend to me with a hammer coral.

It took mine 2 weeks to adjust itself - but now its graet again!

Dont play with it too much...

Are you having problems with any other corals or even fish? If so it could be like boxfishpooalot said stray voltage from the new powerhead. Is it new or used? Could also be a fish has taken an interest in it and nipping at it. If these can be eliminated and everything else looks good water parameters etc. I would say it is just a mater of leaving it in one place for at least 3 days. If there is any extension leave it for 2 more days. If by then there is more but still not full extension don’t worry it will be ok there but will take a little more time to get to full extension. They do not like to be disturbed or handled. Good luck

thanks guys. Actually its the only thing that has reacted to the powerhead for this long. Everything suddenly shrunk when first introduced, but went back to normalthe very next day. I have been keeping them in the same spot for a few days a piece. I'll put it in t's original spot and see if the 2 week period as deeznuts said.
