Frogspawn cracked?

Hi, hope this is in the right section, been reading the forums for a few months but never posted. I purchased a frogspawn coral (or what I believe to be) and when I brought it home an finished acclimating it, I noticed it had cracked in half, is there anything I should do with it? or just set it on a rock and hope all goes well?

Also what are the optimum conditions for one? low in the tank or high? and the flow rate?

Thanks for the answers in advance :)

Where is it cracked? Is it cracked through the head itself, or is part of the skeleton not on the head cracked?

I keep mine in medium-low flow, medium to low light.

It cracked completly thru the bottom portion where its like a rock, it seems to be doing ok this morning, but I didnt pull the pieces apart to see if it went thru the head portion of it.

i keep mine in medium light and it likes the flow to make it move a little. i had it in a place with very low flow and it didn't like that, it started to shrivel. i'd say that if it's doing fine with the crack leave it and don't mess with it just to find out how deep the crack is.

Ok, one of my fish knocked it over, and I can see now that it is ripped 95% thru the head aswell, will it make it? is there something I should to to help it thru this trauma or just let nature take its course?

I have had them crack on me before and live. Mine cracked in 3 pieces by accident and as long as your tank is healthy they should all survive. Just dont force them to split the rest of the way. Let gravity do the work and they should divide on their own. Then affix the pieces to the rock and let them heal. They should be fine.

If you can find some epoxy is good. If not, go to the dollar store and buy a couple packages of super glue GEL. Put a bit on the skeleton and then put it on a rock.
