Frogspawn Growth

I'm fairly new to the reef aquarium hobby (5 months in) and I have a frogspawn frag that looks like it has a growth off of the skeleton structure near the bottom. Is this a new branch of frogspawn or something else I should be concerned about.

All water parameters are good and the main branch looks fine. Any thoughts?

The picture is not great, but you can see what looks like a miniature frogspawn popping out on the bottom left hand side.

Are other types of growths common?

Here is another pic that shows the growth better. If it is aiptasia, what is the best way to get rid of it? Should I introduce a Peppermint Shrimp?

For not many aiptasia, Aiptasia X can work by nuking / melting individuals. It's manually applied. Turn off pumps, allow to sit for a while then turn pumps back on. Only get it on what you want killed.

I went to get Aiptasia X from my LFS and was told they thought it looked like majano Anenome. Any thoughts on how to treat majano?
