Frogspawn/hammer Shrinking-help!

In the past few weeks my frogspawn and hammer have been shrinking. They used to be twice the size, but are now almost all they way retreated. Do Alkalinity and Calcium levels affect this? Here are the readings:

Nitrate-0-
Nitrite-0-
Amonia-0-
Phosphate-0-
PH-8.3
Calcium-400
Alk-8
Salinity-1.022

I don't know for sure what I need, any Help Would be Greatly Appreciated!!!

Sorry, I forgot to put what size etc.

120 Gal Drilled with two sea swirls in each corner, with Two 250 Watt 10k MH, with Two actinics.

Alkalinity and Calcium levels can certainly cause this. Are those very recent tank parameter levels? If the problem is recent, you need recent/current parameter levels. Otherwise you could be missing the problem by assuming everything is fine. Something tells me you might have a fluctuation you are unaware of.

Other than that, have you made any recent chages or additions? (Such as a recent upgrade to your metal halide lighting or bulb change from a higher kelvin, or increasing flow with the swirls) Have you added anything nearby that could be a competitor? If you have had these for a while, try to think of anything that has recently changed. Are these corals in the same area of the tank?

Has the salinity always been 1.022? Probably wouldn't be a problem by itself, but if it recently dropped from 1.025 or so, where most keepers of hard corals would keep it, that could be a problem.

They are recent parameters and I did change the bulbs from 20k to 10k and have switched from B-ionic to seachem reef builder and buffer, What would be the best to get these back to normal? Should I move them under some overhangs or just give them time to adjust? Thanks for the input!!

My hammer shrinks in high flow. I moved him to a low flow spot and he expands again. What flow is yours getting?

Keep moving them around and see, my hammer and froggie are picky I have them for over a year and a half and they are still not too happy :) some days better than others.

It may also need to adjust to your lighting change and may need to be placed somewhere with more indirect light until acclimated.

I agree with David.

The switch from 20k to 10k produces a large change in intensity. They could just be adjusting to the new lighting.
