Hey everyone, about a week ago I got a toadstool leather to put into my tank, it opened up the next day but then that was it, it hasn’t opened up since and the stem looks to be shrinking. Its a 10 galling tank thats been running for almost two months. Im aware that they do shed but im not sure if this is what a shedding coral looks like. Thank you for the help in advance.

Parameters look good (nitrates a bit high). IMO, it’s adjusting to its new environment.

What are you running for filtration? Maybe run a little carbon? In case there’s something in the water that’s offending it.
Do you have any algae like chaetomorpha in a refugium? These softies do really well with algae reactors or scrubbers.

I have a hob filter, I did put some carbon media in the basket. I dont currently have a refugium, would that be something I should look into doing?
