FrogSpawn Issue? Not sure what this is....

After lights out I noticed this on one of my Frogspawn heads. I've had this colony for about 4 years....thoughts? Is this brown slim? if it is I'm done. after all the crap I've been through trying to keep this tank going I just cannot not stand to look at it anymore.

Thanks for reading

If you're talking about the head in the middle, I don't see BJ. Something is bothering the whole thing though. You'll need to test your water for sure.

It opened up perfect this morning. I really think my pair of clowns are just too hard on it. They've been hosting in it for as long as I've had it. Thanks for the response

You sound pretty frustrated. The coral might need to be separated from the clowns, sounds like. Maybe you could get a big BTA!

I really am. Ive had a bunch of corals die off based on my bad housekeeping and lighting issues. But the tank is back on track and has been stable for about 2 months now, so I got that going for me.

As for the BTA,I'm still very nervous about keeping one. I've had salt for about 5-6 years and never kept one. I just don't want to nuke my tank if it dies.

Maybe one day. Thanks for the reply!

IMO, clowns are horrible in a reef tank. Even with them being hosted by a nem, they still pick at coral. Nothing like seeing tips of euphyllia floating around the tank :headwally:
