Three days ago I noticed a slimy brown colored stuff on one of the heads of my large frogspawn (I've had for many years). As you can see several heads have now died or dying. I'm at a loss? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
I had this stuff pop up 3 days after fragging a coral. I caught it in time and did 2 days in a row of siphoning the goo and lightlly brushing the coral with a toothbrush. The coral was ok. Apparently this stuff can kill quickly.
Thanks Zeebies! I think you're correct. I just siphoned a bunch of brown goo off the dead/dying heads. Doing a little research, anyone used Lugol's iodine 5% to dip the coral? Sounds like people have used this method with some success? Anyone else have treatment ideas for Brown Jelly Disease?

I ended up removing the torch and frogspawn from my 34g DT into another small tank. Frag'd off the 2 remaing good heads from the torch and dipped it in 50% peroxide(3%) for 10 mins and added it back to my DT.
I would take any heads that looks infected out of the tank ASAP.
I've tried lighter dose of peroxide, revive, and bayer advance without any help. My frogspawn is about completely gone now too.
