Frogspawn lacks color and injured

What's wrong with this? It lacks lots of color since I bought it and now looks injured/burned.

One half looks okay the other half has the injure look.

I see an aptasia in the pick. Those things will multiple and kill the coral if it isn't dealt with soon. Not sure if thats the cause but it wont help in the future.

i put a peppermint shrimp in my tank to destroy aptasia or you could use aptasia x or something of that sort

there are several ways to treat it but most are hit and miss. the most consistent method is to remove the coral scrape off the aptasia and rinse all the spores off very well.

Can I use a knife to cut off that part out ? Or will it damage the coral

It wont damage the coral as long as your not cutting flesh.
