Frogspawn looking pale

I've had this frogspawn for 5 days now and it hasn't extended as much as it was at the LFS. I feel like now it's loosing its color too.
I placed it on the bottom of the tank in the center but today moved it to the side and decrease the light intensity. Water parameters are all good.

Salinity 1.024
Ph8.3
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrates 5
Phosphates .03-.1

Alk 10.6
Calcium 530
Magnesium 1630

Any ideas/suggestions?

How's the flow ? They don't like much flow .
Your alk is on the higher end along with Calcium and Mg . Probably came out a lower alk tank .

I have two mp10 going on random reef crest. At first I placed them where there was a lot of flow now I moved it to low flow so we'll see how it does in the next few days.

Any advice on how to lower alk?

You can also stop dosing or cut your doses in half until it gets lower . Don't drop it drastically, .5-1 a day should be fine .

I'm not dosing anything. I've only been using the Instant Ocean reef crystals.

It's not that it is high it's in acceptable range. , I'm just saying if your lfs has a 7 dkh and yours it 10 that will make it mad . Most likely was the flow . Place it in low flow and. Give it couple days

Must be dosing something if paremeters are that high . IO calcium and mg isn't that high right ?

Your welcome. One last thing since it's bothered me that you said you don't dose . Double check your test kits to make sure you know your parms. Some kits can throw ya off specials if outdated or cheap brands . Good luck

Yea, I got a new Red Sea test kit. Unless is defective. Or unless that batch of salt had more calcium and alk than usual.
