Frogspawn not extending fully

I bought this 4 head frag on Wednesday and had it near the left side of my tank in the sand. I've got one maxpsect gyre 130 and two marsaquA 165w LEDs running at about 25%. The gyre was at 100% but now it's at 50 and I moved the coral to a lower flow area. I got some more extension in the new spot but one head is angry and stays in and the others are only out about 1/4 of the way. Nothing is hosting it or bothering it.

Does it just need more time? It didn't come out this far in the old spot but I just stuck it here yesterday.

Why do you have it in a piece of pipe?

I would say take it out of the pipe and place it a few inches to the left and back a few inches in the light area and leave it alone. Get some coral food like Reef Frenzy, Reef Chili and any number of others similar. Also need to have your water parameters.

I have it in the pipe because I'm out of epoxy and no doubt my Diamond Watchmen Goby would sift it on its side if it were in the sand. It is in a light area, my phone shadowed the right side for some reason.

1.026 sg
78 degrees
0 ammonia, nitrite
10 ppm nitrate

Don't know my other parameters. Haven't tested those in months. I've got an Acan and maze brain coral growing and doing well.

Those other parameters are the most important ones with corals. And I agree there are three things that can affect them. Off parameters, flow and lighting. I think your flow and lighting are ok...

Moved them and turned flow down even more, and they're coming out more. I feel like my tank water is stagnant with the gyre set to 30%
