I have a green frogspawn with purple tips the size of a small soccer ball. It never opened up fully in my 135g tank under 96W PC lights. Only a few heads near the top opened up and the rest partially opened or closed.

. It opens completely and looking great. The light I am using is just an very old 36" 25W light that I had used on my small fresh water setup. I plan to use the hamilton MH on my 300g, but still waiting for the new bulbs to arrive. May be I don't need to use the expensive lighting for soft coral. Right next to the frog spawn is some kind of mushroom I guess. It came with the LR that I bought and I didn't even know it existed untill I turned on this cheap light. It opened up and looks like some kind of green mushroom with dots all over it. I am really confused about lighting requirement. May be regular light is better for some of the soft coral that I am interested in.
