Frogspawn problem

I have a piece of frogspawn in a 20 gallon tank. I had my water tested yesterday and the only major thing out of whack was high phosphate levels. I plan on doing a water change tomorrow to try to fix it. I had been using tap water in the aquarium and tomorrow I am final getting RO DI water to do as much of a water change as possible. The frogspawn had looked really healthy and is starting to look brown. Is that normal or is it because of the water? Is there anything I can do til tomorrow? Will it make it tip I can change the water?

i agree the tap water likely is very high in phosphates which inhibits coral growth and irritates them
