i have a frogspawn and for some reason every once in a while a little tip of a tentacle will fall off. whats happeneing to it? is it dying? is it ok? what do i do?
i have noticed my hammers doing the same thing, every once in a while. I have had the colony for 2 yeras and it grows like crazy and looks very healthy. I do not know why this happens but i do not think it is a big concern, as long as it is a small amount.
Okay, I looked up some things, and as long as this is a healthy piece (opening well, no brown jelly stuff) then it's likely that this is a reproduction or defense strategy. At least that's how I understood some things I read
Good luck!
correct me if i am way off here, but i believe that to be the result of the coral being in too much water flow. what happens to the pieces that break off? have you got any new little bits of frogspawn growing anywhere?
