Frogspawn water movement

Okay - I know they are meant to get medium flow but just what is medium flow lol?

I have a 40B with am MP10 (so this really needs someone familiar with both to answer) - the MP10 isn't a huge water mover in a 40B so should I have it on full or is less needed?

My other question is - how does less water movement relate to a good healthy tank? Don't you need good movement for a healthy biological filter?

Thanks

I have a 30 gal with the mp10. I have mine as far as possible from it at a little more than half power. When its making a wave, the tentacles on the frogspawn just wiggle back and forth.

Thanks. I've had things that like a lot of flow for too long. I'm used to seeing hermits being pushed along the bottom (jk)...I'm feeling like everything has come to a stand still.

I appreciate your input :)

medium flow for me is about 20-30x turnover. i had 2 seioo 530s and a pair of korilia 2s in a 40b and kept brains very happy. good gentle flow. aim the powerheads at the glass or get a wavemaker. but randon flow is tons better than laminar
