Frogspawn - white stringy stuff?

Last night before I left for work I noticed that my frogspawn was retracted quite a bit. I get up today and before the lights come on, notice even more retraction and this white stringy almost like wisps of cotton stuff attached to it. Not a lot, just like 3 -4 strings.
Since the lights came on it is starting to extend back to more normal levels. There is nothing in the vicinity that could sting it, no new additions to the tank. Any idea what's going on?

Could be just "pooping" - The fact that it is responding normally to light is a good sign. My advise is to just keep a close eye on it and not worry right now.

mine will slime a bit when it's eating. sometimes it comes off in long white strands when the current picks it up. if you could get some pictures that would help.

I was going to get pics when I got home this morning. Much to my suprise it looked almost normal. Still quite retracted but normal in every other sense...
