You all have any pics of your frogspawns?

Here is my frogspawn everyone seems to like. I have had it 6 years. It started out as 3 heads. It is in a 100 gallon tank. It is very fragile and I have about 5 small, 1-2 head pieces stuck around the tank.

wow that is awesome!

AkaSlyGuy,

Do you have a calcium reactor for it to grow that gigantic or do you dose with a 2 part system. I am contemplating getting a CA reactor for my LPS/Softie tank but not sure if it is more of a luxury than a necessity for the corals to thrive.

Thanks.

No, I do not have a calcium reactor. I only recently really really started paying CLOSE attention to my calcium and alk levels. I usually did i for a while, then got away from checking, then started back. But since I have started getting some SPS I have been watching more closely. I can really say that I did NOTHING special for it. I would occasionally feed it a small piece of shrimp or some meaty frozen food. The only 2 part additives I have used so far are the Kent part A and B to keep my levels around where I want them. I have been using Kalk for all my top off water replacement for about 2 months now and I have been able to tell a big difference in the looks of my tank in general. If you have any other questions please ask.

The skeleton of this frogspawn is pretty fragile in places. Some people use different types of cutters and pick a spot (that does not have any flesh) and cut. Most of the time the skeleton is not that dense and will break with some pressure.

Holy Frogspawn!!!:eek2:

How big was it when you added it to your tank? And did you attach the frogspawn to a rock or did you keep it in your substrate?

I have to say, that is very cool!
