I thought about pizza night but the only one I ever went to was at nook's. That many people at one time might mean it's moving to the basement if you know what I mean.

I'll try and post a video of the cabinet slides and the light rack.
I assume you post it on YouTube some how and link? Never done it before.

I'm tossing the idea of ozone around what unit are you getting and are you going to use a reactor with it or going through your skimmer?
 
Going with ozotech. I will just start with the skimmer and see how that plays out. I have a fairly large sump and from what I've read ozone only last for a few seconds. If anyone has more input I'm happy to listen.
 
I need to get a calibration kit for my orp monitor. From day one my orp has been reading from 420-450 without ozone. I can't believe that. All I did was plug it into my apex without calibrating it. I would have assumed they are already calibrated. Anyone know if it's common that those probe are out of wack?
 
Well after battling m.e.n. (Wiped out mass colonies) Then the flatworm massacre. And now stn... The last 2 months have been the worst in my 16 years of the hobby. Things can only get better!

Many thanks mpcart. Once i rebound I'll hit you up and do some trading. I need to let things settle for a while. Kinda disappointed things look the way they do for the poker run. I've lost some color and stn atm but maybe some people have never seen this.

In a way I'm looking forward to having a bunch of fresh eyes on the system. Maybe I'm missing something...

Love the gyres. Can't decide if I should pick up one or two this weekend with them on sale. Well, I KNOW I shouldn't. But it's still tempting. I keep thinking about getting rid of the vortechs and just going with gyres and tunzes.
Your tank looks awesome!
 
His SPS are the most healthy I’ve seen since griss almost 20 years ago. Gyres are pretty cool.

I would also like to thank you again Nanook. In a way you helped. That reactor I got from you really help fit my system right. I just could not keep up with the smaller reactor I had. I loved my mtc pro-cal that I ran for years. Just got overgrown.

An aquarium full of tennis ball-sized colonies is nice and all, but NOTHING can compare to a giant tank filled with massive tabling acros, that you can only get a glimpse of through the Staghorn forest.
(That empty 470 cube would be just about perfect for such an undertaking :thumbsup:)
Frogspawn, your tank is the closest thing I've seen to what I envision as "a piece of the reef" in a long time.
