I have a 93 gallon cube that was previously a dedicated nps system. I kept gorgonians and crinoids that require a very high nutrient content with all the continuous feeding. I have sold my gorgonians and now just want to focus on a typical sps reef with a few lps on the sand like acans and scolymia. I now have a very high nitrate and phosphate levels in my tank that I can't seem to get under control, even without the heavy feedings. It has been about 2 months without adding any food besides feeding my two clowns and the nutrienys haven't gone down. I have attempted a few acroporas but they just brown up bleach and die. I really want to keep a thriving spas system ut I need a little help. I have been looking into probiotics like zeovit. I don't want to use any complicated reactor with zeovit. I just plan on using Zeobak, zeofood, zeostart, and bio mate. I am a complete boob when it comes to understanding new and confusing topics like this so I just want to run it through you guys for some expert advice. Is there any side affects to dozing this with an already elevated nutrient level? Should I dose below the docent recommendations when using these products?
