Frozen food thawed is it still good?

I personally wouldn't use it, not worth the risk. Since their are cubes ( small size, lots of surface area ) they would thaw out pretty quickly. Anytime the food ( frozen/refrigerated ) is left out in the temp. danger zone ( temps between 40 - 140 ) ( the upper range is for hot foods getting cold ) for more than 4 hours it is considered unsafe.

Just my $0.02

( I guess that food sanitation class I took back in the day paid off ;) )

It is fine. I forget mine all the time. Use it anyway as long as the individual cubes are still sealed.

I left mine out for 2 days, sealed in their cubes. refroze and been using it for the last week. no ill effects.

I am shocked the chances people are willing to take. Food doesn't cost that much, replacing livestock does.

Is this the Hikari brand? I thought the packages are irradiated. If that is the case, I would just put it back in the freezer. Even if it wasn't irradiated and the cubes were still sealed in the packages, the conditions for bacterial growth are not optimal.

The simple way to figure that out is to try to boilcook a small piece of it. Just check how it smells during cooking. If it smells nothing but regular shrimp then it's OK. But if you catch fetid odor of sulphur hydrogen or some other nasty stink then BEWARE, it's spoiled.

Else I'd have to buy a new pot which costs way more =)
That is correct BUT. I think it's a good idea to have a dedicated pot and check the food you buy routinely unless you fully trust your vendor. Friend of mine bought in once from someone jobbish and lost almost all of his livestock. And this was sure more expensive then pot.
