Frozen Prime Reef

Yesterday I got some Prime Reef for my clowns. I thawed a cube in a cup of tank's water. But even it thawed it is still clumed together, unlike misys shrimp cubes.
Question do I need to break thawed cube up on small chunks? Or am I doing something wrong here?

Just use a little syringe or stick, or even your finger, and mix it around as it can be prety clumpy. Might need to mush it inbetween your fingers.

I just slice the food fairly thinly and then dump it into the tank.
