Just spent the last 4 months building this tank and the week I start filling it up I find out that I have to move to Phoenix. I am hoping not to have to bring it with me as I would have to store it until we buy a place. So if anyone wants a newly built well plumbed and ready to rock tank this is a great opportunity to get one for a good price with the work already completed.

the goods:

150 gallon drilled tank. 72 x 24 x 18

ignore canopy as it is gone. I did however paint most of the visible plumbing black to minimize is visibility.

5 holes drilled in back of tank. 1 1/2 inch holes with brand new never used bulkheads

3 holes are dedicated to the gatevalve tunable bean animal silent failsafe overflow capable of 1500 gph

2 holes are for a closed loop that is pushed by a reeflo dart (3600 gph) to 4 returns (2 on each side of tank)

The sump return pump is a gen x high pressure pump pcx 55 hp

This big beautiful piece of glass sits atop of a custom made cabinet that is 36 inches tall, the extra height gives it an awesome viewing angle and give extra room for taller skimmers, equip, head room etc"¦ I also added a trap door side panel to the cabinet for easy maintenance. this allows for a much larger sump if desired. I have received a lot of compliments on the cabinet, it turned out great, the doors are distressed alder wood and the finish is pretty sweet.

The sump is a drilled 40 gallon acrylic with baffles. its ugly but watertight and clean.

If i get my asking price I will throw in an older reef octopus 150 skimmer. It works fairly well and I will give it a good cleaning to.

All plumbing is brand new and leak tested, I have used a ton of true unions so everything is easy to disconnect and very efficient.

Im not going to break down the individual prices of all this stuff as that always bugs me. I will say that I have spent a lot of money and time aquiring all this stuff and building it. I built this to be silent and beautiful in my living room with the intention to enjoy it for years to come. I want to sell it as a set and am looking for cash or cash plus trade.

Tank, sump, cabinet, return pump, closed loop pump, skimmer and plumbing are all yours for $1000

You guys get first crack at it and it hits craigs on Monday.

More pics will be posted tomorrow and trades that I would be interested in are mp40s

Thanks for looking

ah man after all that work! good luck in phx! now youll have some good fish stores to shop at when you get ready

Yea its a bummer about the tank but on the bright side i had a bunch of new toys for the big guy that got put onto my 90 today. New reef octopus skimmer and 2 250 watt metal halides. I gave her a good coraline scrape and she is looking purty

I'm not really getting any bites, am I asking too much or is nobody really looking for a big tank?

Unique opportunity, if you are saying to yourself "I need a bigger place before I can get a bigger tank" then you should buy my house, it already comes with a big tank!

I would post it on the Phoenix board. Much larger audience, your bound to get some interest. Price is fair IMO.

That's a nice looking setup...

the tank is a standard 6 foot tank? See I am interested in everything.... except I already have a stand for a 125 and canopy i used on my old old system...

it is a standard 6 ft and I have no canopy so yours from the 125 would be perfect. I built my cabinet taller then most out there as I hate stooping down to look in a tank and it is great to have the extra working space in there. most cabinets are only 32 inches tall and mine is 36 (37.5 at the trim) This cabinet is tall enough that you could very easily put a 55 gallon tank in as your sump and still be able to pull a skimmer in and out.
